Solar Tax Credit Extension Introduced In Congress, Tour De Sol Celebrates “Green” Vehicles, Update On Residential Wind Power

In this week’s edition of “Inside Renewable Energy,” Rhone Resch, president of the Solar Energy Industries Association, discusses the likely impact of the proposed eight-year extension of the solar tax credit. Increasing the incentive program from two to ten years will greatly expand the solar market in the U.S. and signals a turning point for solar power, says Resch. The podcast will also check in with Mike Bergey of Oklahoma-based Bergey Wind Power. Bergey has been in the residential wind power business since the 1970s and offers a well-informed perspective on the state of small wind in the U.S.

In our Main Even segment, we’ll talk to Nancy Hazard of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association about the upcoming Tour De Sol, the nation’s premier “green” vehicle event. Hazard talks about the evolution of the Tour and the rapidly growing alternative-fuel movement in the U.S. This year’s tour, says Hazard, features an unprecedented variety of automotive technologies. As always, this week’s edition of “Inside Renewable Energy” offers the latest renewable energy news.
