Romanian Hydro Plant Energizes

April 26, 2002 [] Romania’s first hydro power station at Cornetu, the southern county of Valcea, has started generating power for the country’s national power grid. The Cornetu hydro power station is part of the hydro power system on the Olt river, with a generating capacity of 30.5 MW. The first generator of the plant is completely automated with a second generator coming online in December.
