Denver, United States [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Inc. (RES-Americas) announced the company has been awarded the construction rights for five utility-scale wind projects with a total capacity of 954 megawatts (MW). The projects will be located in the Canadian province of Quebec and output will be sold to Hydro Quebec Distribution. The project will be managed by RES-Canada, an affiliate of RES-Americas.
The project will consist of five wind farms totaling 954 MW. The anticipated in-service dates for the projects range from December 2011 through December 2015. Once completed, the developments will represent a total investment exceeding US $2 billion.

- Minganie, Aguanish Wind Farm: 80 MW
- Les Etchemins et Bellechasse, Massif-du-Sud Wind Farm: 150 MW
- La Matapédia et La Mitis, Lac-Alfred Wind Farm: 300 MW
- Charlevoix et Le Fjord-du-Saguenay, Rivière-du-Moulin Wind Farm: 350 MW
- Charlevoix-Est, Clermont Wind Farm: 74 MW
