Finalists have been chosen for the Projects of the Year Awards, and now it’s time to cast your vote for the Readers’ Choice Award.
But this year is different.
Not only have we this year opened nominations to a global audience, Renewable Energy World North America is now co-located with Power-Gen International, which is where we will present the awards. This means that the renewable energy projects of the year are in the running along with coal, nuclear and gas projects of the year. And all of them are up for our Readers’ Choice Award. This is where all of you, our readers, come in.
What better way to show that renewable energy is a serious contender than to show that readers support a renewable energy project more than they support a fossil fuel project? Every vote counts.
So, how did we come up with these finalists? Readers submitted nominations for projects that they thought were worthy of recognition in eight categories: solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, hydro, coal, gas and nuclear. Editors of the Renewable Energy World and Power Engineering network of publications then culled through hundreds of entries to come up with finalists.
And now, voting is open for the ninth category: Readers’ Choice. Editors will announce the winners in all nine categories on Dec. 10 during the Annual Awards Gala at the co-located Renewable Energy World North America Conference and Expo and Power-Gen International, which runs from Dec. 11 to 13 in Orlando, Fla.
Renewable nominees include:
Hudson Ranch Power I Geothermal Project (John L Featherstone Plant)
And there are some fossil energy projects in there, too.
The Renewable Energy World and Power Engineering network of editors congratulates all of the finalists (but it probably won’t come as a surprise that we here at REW are hoping a renewable energy project wins). Vote now!
