Renewable Energy Vermont Holds Conference

September 29, 2003 [] “Power for a New Economy, ” Renewable Energy Vermont’s 2nd annual conference, will take place October 8 at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Burlington, Vermont. The day-long conference will include breakout sessions on solar, wind, and biomass energy issues and technologies as well as displays from leading local and national renewable energy companies. Featured Keynote speakers include: Dr. Robert Costanza, director of the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics, who will talk about the connections between renewable energy and a healthy economy, and Environmental Author Bill McKibben (“The End of Nature” and other books), who will also give an address on the environmental imperative of increased use of renewables.
