Renewable Energy New Zealand Receives NZ$10,000

Vision Energy awarded $10,000 and endowed 5% of its company shares to Renewable Energy New Zealand (RENZ), a charitable trust set up to support the development of renewable, clean and sustainable energy sources.

The donation and endowment will allow RENZ, which, according to RENZ trustee Mark Solomon, is dedicated to supporting projects that promote the use of renewable energy, offering an ongoing funding source, and encouraging projects that move toward pursuing an energy-independent New Zealand. One such project is the Hydro-charger, which works by converting water into hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis in a small, onboard unit that can be retrofitted into almost any internal combustion engine.
