Renewable Energy Gets Focus on Ballot

[Biomass] A running joke among some Columbia politicians is that the city could combine the two marijuana ballot proposals with the green-energy initiative on the Nov. 2 ballot by burning marijuana in the Municipal Power Plant. The truth is, burning cannabis to fuel the plant along Business Loop 70 would satisfy the letter of Proposition 3, which calls for the city to incrementally use more electricity from renewable power sources.
