Renewable Energy Coming to Small UK Town

2002-03-08 [] More than 3,000 homes in this town in Great Britain could be powered by Renewable Energy thanks to a £50,000 (US$70,000) grant, which will be used for the early stages of the project. The government backed project is on of only 15 in the country and is being run by the Severn-Wye energy agency. It is hoped that the project will eventually include solar, wind and hydroelectric sources of power.
