Renewable Energy Access Launches Podcast launched its inaugural weekly podcast, “Inside Renewable Energy.” Each week the podcast will blend highlights of its worldwide renewable energy news coverage with a broad range of features, interviews, and specialty information segments. “Inside Renewable Energy” is free to download for listening on computers or MP3 players.

Sponsorship was key to the successful development and quality of the “Inside Renewable Energy,” according to Jim Callihan,’s president. Sharp Solar is the lead sponsor of the podcast and SMA America is a special segment sponsor. “Sharp Solar’s Ron Kenedi and SMA’s Sam Vanderhoof immediately got our vision of the podcast’s role in mainstreaming renewable energy,” said Callihan. “They are both visionary in their own right and complement our company’s own long-range vision of the podcast’s future in digital information distribution to support the growth of renewable energy.” “Bringing renewable energy, and in our case solar energy, to a wider audience is exciting,” said Ron Kenedi, Vice President of Sharp Solar in the U.S. “We are especially supportive of introducing these technologies to the younger demographic attracted by the iPod revolution and think this will have a major impact on the growth of our industry, and not just in the adoption or purchase of solar, but in bringing new talent to this booming business career path.” Just as renewable energy offers the promise of “owning” your own energy, podcasts are revolutionizing how people can take ownership and control of the information and use it whenever and wherever they choose. The “Inside Renewable Energy” content presentation is driven by the same news team that publishes both Daily and Weekly renewable energy news. “Our site and e-newsletters have attracted readers who don’t have time to scour the Internet and print publications for significant developments in the renewable energy field,” said Publisher Oliver Strube, “and now they have another option, our new podcast, “Inside Renewable Energy.”” “Podcasting technology is relatively new,” said Strube, “but it is worth the initial setup effort because it is such an easy way to receive information.” “Inside Renewable Energy” may be downloaded at no charge from’s home page or the Apple iTunes Music Store. It is also free for listeners who subscribe to an automatic feed of “Inside Renewable Energy” through iTunes or other podcast players. Once subscribed to the feed, the weekly podcast will be automatically downloaded to the listener’s player.
