Plans for Meeting Global Demand for Ethanol

Redwood City, California [] A California-based energy firm has launched an ethanol research and production project to meet demands for the fuel in the coming years. The company expects that it will output 350,000 tons of raw ethanol a year that will bring in yearly revenues of $225,000,000. The Ya Sheng Group, specializing in agricultural, chemical and biological technology, will begin by the end of this year, and projects that ethanol production will be at full capacity by 2008.
