Pennsylvania Grant for Wastewater Methane Capture

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection awarded a PA Energy Harvest Grant to Princeton Energy Systems, for the funding of renewable biogas energy projects utilizing Ecovation’s wastewater treatment technology. Princeton Energy Systems, based in Philadelphia, has teamed up with New York-based Ecovation to provide food and beverage companies in Pennsylvania a wastewater management and renewable fuel technology which they say optimizes energy usage and offsets natural gas consumption. Ecovation’s Mobilized Film Technology (MFT) is a high-rate anaerobic technology that maximizes methane energy production by removing organic material from high-strength wastewater.
