Noble Invests $2M in Kansas Ethanol Plant

Hong Kong [] Noble Group Ltd. announced the financial closing of the first ethanol plant being built by Gateway Ethanol LLC, an ethanol project development company based in Kansas. Noble, an equity investor with a USD$2 million participation, will market the entire ethanol plant production. The 55 million gallon plant, to be located in Pratt, Kansas, is expected to reach mechanical completion by May 2007 and commercial production by July 2007. The Gateway plant will be the largest ethanol plant in Kansas,the release states, and will incorporate the latest technology to ensure it is a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly plant. Cargill will originate grain and market distillers’ grains for Gateway. Noble Group is a global supply chain manager of agricultural, industrial and energy products.
