New Law’s Solar Energy Requirement Sets PSNH on Edge

Concord, New Hampshire [NHPR] New Hampshire’s new Renewable Portfolio Energy law requires utilities begin buying power from renewable sources starting next year. Eventually that power could come from wind, biomass or hydro sources. It also requires solar energy to be part of the renewable total. The state’s largest utility says the solar goal is probably unrealistic. But state officials, environmentalists and the solar industry disagree.
