New Jersey Casino Buys 5.5 MW of Green Power

Folsom, New Jersey [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Up to 5.5 MW of green power will be provided by Marina Energy, which signed a 20-year contract with Marina District Development Company to the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City. The agreement was prompted by Borgata’s continued interest in renewable energy at the AC Landfill Energy’s methane-to- electric power generation facility located in Egg Harbor Township and a similar plant in Warren County owned by WC Landfill Energy. Both landfill energy projects are owned by joint venture of Marina Energy LLC and DCO Energy LLC. Marina Energy is a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries.
