New Hampshire Biomass Back on Track

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Plans for the Northeast’s largest biomass power production facility in New Hampshire are back on track after a settlement between Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH) and Guilford Rail. The two parties came to an agreement regarding the granting by Guilford to PSNH of an agreement which allows the PSNH to continue construction of its 50 MW Northern Wood Power Project (NWPP) at Schiller Station in Portsmouth. The agreement is between the two parties and its terms are confidential. The settlement includes an agreement by PSNH and Guilford to withdraw the complaints they filed at the NH Public Utilities Commission and the Rockingham County Superior Court respectively. Construction of the NWPP continues and it is expected that it will be completed on scheduled, with an “on-line” date of August, 2006.
