New Alliance to Produce Ethanol from BioMass

Biofuels company Xethanol has signed an agreement with Aventine Renewable Energy for the sale of ethanol produced at the company’s Xethanol BioFuels facility in Blairstown, Iowa. Aventine supplies ethanol from its plants in Illinois and Nebraska. In connection with this agreement, BioFuels recently shipped its first 400,000 gallons of ethanol to Aventine. Xethanol’s mission is to convert biomass that is currently being abandoned or landfilled into ethanol and other valuable co-products.
