January 27, 2003 [] The Oregon Trail Ethanol Coalition (OTEC) of Davenport, Nebraska, intends to raise between US$18 million and US$24 million in a public offering of membership units to finance the construction of a plant to produce 40 million gallons of ethanol annually. OTEC has entered into a letter of intent with Lurgi PSI, Inc. and ICM, Inc. to design and construct the proposed plant. “We believe that the demand for ethanol will continue to grow in the future, and that based on recent events, the timing is right to build an ethanol plant in our region of Nebraska,” said Michael Schardt, Vice Chairman of the Board.
