Millions of Germans Use RE

April 10, 2002 [] About 5.3 million residents in Germany use Renewable Energy, according to that country’s government. By the end of 2002, that number is expected to increase by 1 million with the help of two- year-old German legislation encouraging Renewable Energy use. The law requires utility providers to produce electricity from solar, hydro, wind, geothermal and biomass resources and rewards them with tax benefits.
