NEW YORK, New York – July 3, 2002 [] “We are pleased to work with a group which understands the Japanese market so well and has broad access to large Japanese companies who may be interested in our advanced fuel cell technology,” said Robert K. Lifton, Chairman and CEO of Medis Technologies Ltd. “Japan is very advanced in the portable electronic device market such as the next generations of mobile phones and we understand that Japanese companies, like others world wide, are looking for stronger and longer lasting power sources to accommodate the next generation phones and convergent devices. We believe that our fuel cell technology is sufficiently advanced to attract strong interest from Japanese companies involved in portable electronic devices, whether as manufacturers, distributors, component suppliers or service providers and that RWA will be able to facilitate introductions to such companies.”
