Judge to Rule on Hydro One Sale

April 22, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] A judge on the Ontario Superior Court of Justice will announce his decision today at 10 a.m. as to whether the provincial government has the legal authority to sell Hydro One. Two unions, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) took the government to court last week arguing that they do not have the legal right to privatize the province’s electricity grid.
