Japanese Paper Company Deploys Biomass Gen.

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Nippon Paper announced it will introduce biomass power generation facilities to two plants, Fuji and Iwakuni. Plans call for investing 15.4 billion yen ($137 mil) in deployment. Nippon’s facilities are expected to help reduce heavy oil consumption by 190,000 liters annually, an equivalent of a saving of the resource costs by 5.2 billion yen ($46 mil). They will also contribute to reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 480,000 tons per year.
