Japanese Geothermal Production Lower

2002-03-18 [SolarAccess.com] Electricity generated by Japanese thermal power plants, which normally acts as a buffer for the country’s usually steep load curve, declined 7 percent last year to 34.12 billion kWh. However, hydroelectric power output in February increased 6.7 percent to 4.09 billion kWh, as the average water level at hydroelectric dams was higher than a year earlier level.
