Iran to Use Renewable Energy for 500 MW Electricity

[] Iran’s Energy Ministry announced the country will plans to use renewable energy to generate 500 MW of electricity by the end of the Fourth Development Plan. Given the high prices of fossil fuels and their limited resources, Iran’s caretaker head of the ministry’s New Energies Department, Mohsen Bakhtiari, expressed hope that the country would meet at least one percent of domestic energy need from renewable energy sources.
