Industry Milestone: 100th Ethanol Production Facility Under Way

Sioux Falls, South Dakota [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The Broin Companies announce that Frontier Ethanol, LLC, near Gowrie, Iowa, is the 100th ethanol plant to begin operations in the U.S. Broin developed, designed, engineered and built the facility and will provide management and marketing services to Frontier Ethanol. The facility will process 21 million bushels of corn into 60 million gallons of ethanol and 178,000 tons of Dakota Gold Enhanced Nutrition Distillers Products(TM) annually. The plant will employ approximately 40 people with an annual payroll of $1.8 million. The Broin Companies, which currently produce, manage, and market more than 800 million gallons of ethanol annually, have designed and constructed 23 operating ethanol plants and currently have nine projects under construction or development.
