Fund Formed for US. Renewable Energy Investors

Bethesda, Maryland [] Calvert, a firm engaged in socially and environmentally responsible investing, has launched the Calvert Global Alternative Energy Fund and is releasing the findings of a national survey that shows ‘disconnect’ between individuals’ views on climate, alternative energy investing and their portfolios. The Calvert Global Alternative Energy Fund invests in a mix of U.S. and non-U.S. stocks, with an investment objective of long- term growth of capital. Alternative energy includes, but is not limited to: 1) renewable energy (such as solar, wind, geothermal, biofuel, hydrogen, and biomass), 2) the technologies that enable these sources to be tapped, and 3) services or technologies that conserve or enable more efficient use of energy.
