Fourth Geothermal Plant in the Philippines

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently inspected a new 20 MW geothermal power project, which will supply stable electricity and meet the projected growth in energy demand. The Nasulo power plant, the fourth power plant in Western and Central Visayas, will provide indigenous renewable geothermal power to those living in the hinterland village near Valencia town, according to the Philippine Information Agency based in Manila. The Philippine National Oil’s Palinpinon geothermal expansion project includes the development of the Nasulo power plant, which is the newest addition to the region’s existing site, the Southern Negros Geothermal Production Field.
