Food Must Get a Priority Over Bio Fuels

[Economic Times] Even as the the government weighs its options on whether to pass on the impact of the global oil price hike to consumers or cushion it with a subsidy, a global panel of policy makers and economists has said diverting resources meant for education and infrastructure into subsidising energy consumption discouraged energy efficiency. It has advocated reversing the policy of bio fuels over food.
