Finavera Renewables Begins Trading on the TSX-V

Finavera Renewables Inc., which is focused on wind and wave energy development, announces commencement of trading (TSX-V: FVR) on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V).

“This listing provides Finavera Renewables with a platform for growth as we continue to raise capital and advance our renewable energy projects and our wave energy technology,” said Jason Bak, CEO at Finavera, a company originating in Ireland. Finavera Renewables is developer of the patented wave energy converter, AquaBuOY. The company’s wave energy projects include a 1 megawatt (MW) pilot plant in Makah Bay, Washington; a 100 MW staged power project in Figuera da Foz, Portugal; a 20 MW staged power project in South Africa; and in Ucluelet, British Columbia, Finavera Renewables is in the early stages of developing a wave energy project. Its wind power projects in Ireland under development include the 100 MW Cloosh Valley wind project in County Galway, and the 75 MW Maghera wind project in County Clare. In Canada, the company has 12 projects under development in the Peace River region of northeast British Columbia and six in the Cascades region of the province’s southern interior with a total potential capacity exceeding over 1,500 MW.
