Felleskraft To Build Hydro Stations in Brazil

Felleskraft AS, a Norwegian hydro and renewable energy investor, has signed an agreement with Brazilian company Welt Clean Energy (Welt) LTDA to build small hydro power stations in Brazil.

Welt is the leader of a consortium of local companies specializing in the energy sector and under the terms of the agreement it will deliver a pipeline of projects (>100MW output) as well as management and execution of the projects locally.

The transaction was arranged via BRC ltd an Anglo-Brazilian investment boutique in London.

The initial focus by Felleskraft AS will be on the execution of several projects known as Pequenas Centrais Hidreletricas (<30MW) in several states. These projects are in the final stages of receiving approval from the appropriate Brazilian regulatory authorities. No terms were released.
