Ethanol Partnership for Kyoto Protocol

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Canada is trying to meet its Kyoto Protocol measures through ethanol use and production. Mems USA and Accelon Energy Systems have formed a partnership called Can-Am Ethanol One, which will design, engineer, build, own and operate a biomass to ethanol processing plant in Canada. The design, engineering and construction portions of the project are budgeted at approximately US$140 million. Canadian government mandates require the country to quintuple its ethanol production capacity over the next six years to meet the 240 million gallon per year increase in demand.
