Ethanol Blend Diesel Supply Goes to Saudi Arabia

Ethanol blended fuel will find its way into the fuel rich Middle East market when the O2Diesel Corporation, which supplies the blend, starts delivering to Al Obayya, a corporation in Saudi Arabia that supplies logistical support to businesses that want to establish a presence in the region.

Newark, Delaware – July 14, 2004 [] Al Obayya is a commercial entity owned by HRH Prince Turki Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. “We view this agreement as an opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of our cleaner-burning fuel technology in this new market, and consider this a positive step in our efforts to build brand recognition and world-wide acceptance for O2Diesel,” Alan Rae, president and CEO of O2Diesel, said. Under terms of the agreement, O2Diesel will deliver between 11,023 and 22,046 tons of its proprietary fuel technology that will enable the blending and use of the company’s ethanol-blended diesel fuel throughout Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern states. The companies will work with local businesses such as Saudi Aramco to distribute and market the fuel. Tarek Obaid of Al Obayya said, “This agreement is a critical first step in recognizing the market opportunity and importance for the region of O2Diesel’s environmentally friendly solutions.”
