EnergyMixx & Deutsche Bank Sign Finance Deal

EnergyMixx AG has signed a deal with the London Office of Deutsche Bank AG for the bank to be sole mandated lead manger to arrange and syndicate at least EUR 500 million [US $679.9 million] of non-recourse project finance senior debt for the company’s renewable energy projects in Italy.

EnergyMixx’s portfolio of projects includes 105 megawatts (MW) of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects and 200 MW of wind energy projects. The company anticipates that construction of the projects will be financed on a rolling basis and will start in the first quarter of 2009 and will be complete by 2011.

“Deutsche Bank is delighted to support EnergyMixx’s renewable energy projects through this significant financing mandate. Deutsche Bank has positioned itself as a leading financial institution in the renewables space and we believe that we can play a crucial role in facilitating and promoting the wider technological and industrial changes that our economies need to implement in order to address the challenges posed by climate change,” said Miles Millard, European head of DCM at Deutsche Bank.
