Ecotality and APS Use Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus to Educate Public

Scottsdale, Arizona [] Ecotality, Inc., which addresses the global energy challenge by developing and commercializing renewable energy solutions, announced a partnership with the utility APS to educate the public on renewable energy through Arizona’s first hydrogen fuel cell bus — the ECObus. APS will provide services, educational materials and hydrogen fuel for the ECObus at its Hydrogen Park in downtown Phoenix. The APS Hydrogen Park was constructed in 1920 for the production of gas for the city of Phoenix to illuminate its streetlights. The transformation of the facility, completed in 2002, currently supplies hydrogen compressed and natural gas or a combination of both to vehicles that operate on such fuels.
