Trent Berry, Chair of the Canadian Institute of Energy, Vancouver Branch, presented the award to DynaMotive at a luncheon held at the Four Season’s Hotel in Vancouver on March 27. “We are very pleased to have been selected by the Canadian Institute of Energy for this prestigious award,” said Rodolfo Guido, Chief Operating Officer at DynaMotive. “British Columbia is a Renewable Energy innovation center with the emergence of leading technologies in fuel cells, gasification, and fuel delivery systems developed in the region and exported worldwide. DynaMotive’s BioOil technology is yet a further exponent of British Columbia’s R&D capability.” “It is refreshing and encouraging to see a start-up technology developing not only a valuable resource from waste material but also putting into place a research and commercialization strategy that addresses the investment risks of newly applied technology,” said Penny Cochrane, Director of the Canadian Institute of Energy, Vancouver Branch. “The scientists continue to create intellectual capital through research for new processes and products, while the developers, focusing on the market, engineer, manufacture, and sell the commercial products.”
