DOE Awards Biofuels Contract

2002-03-20 [] The Department of Energy, in coordination with the National Energy Technology Laboratory announced the award of their Biomass and Alternate Methane Fuel Super Energy Savings Performance Contracting solicitation to Energy Systems Group (ESG) headquartered in Evansville, Indiana. ESG is one of five national awardees of this contract with the total dollar value of all five contracts expected to be up to US$200 million, with energy-related savings in excess of that amount. The company has won the right to provide, biomass-based, energy solutions, to potentially 500,000 federal sites in 50 States, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories throughout the world.
