Delay in Hydro Hearing

May 3, 2002 [] Canadian Hydro Developers, Inc. has announced an update on the joint hearing with the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board and the Natural Resources Conservation Board. The Hearing had been adjourned until June 17, 2002 to allow the Corporation to provide additional information to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (“DFO”) and Alberta Environment. The purpose of the Hearing is to approve the construction and operation of the Corporation’s proposed 80 MW Dunvegan Hydroelectric project on the Peace River. A hearing date of September 17, 2002 has been requested. The Board is currently determining the availability of interested parties for the proposed Hearing date.
