Debate Over Sale of Hydro One Continues

April 17, 2002 [] The Communications, Energy and Paper Workers Union of Canada (CEP) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) have initiated legal proceedings concerning the privatization of Hydro One Inc. The case, which is before of the Ontario Court of Justice, seeks a ruling that the provincial government has no legal authority to sell its shares in Hydro One, the second largest transmission company in North America. CEP and CUPE are holding a rally and march to fight the sale of Hydro One.
