Customers Gain More Renewable Energy Options

Indianapolis, Indiana [] Once Indianapolis Power & Light Company’s (IPL) new green power initiative, Empower, is approved by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, it is hoped to provide customers with options to select renewable energy sources. They will be able to voluntarily purchase a fixed percentage of their electricity from a renewable energy source, and will be offered renewable energy education with a commitment to construction of a renewable resource including wind, solar, biomass fuel and anaerobic digesters.
