Conference on Bio-Products to Focus on Recovery Efforts

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Biomass utilization and recovery in the wake of the Hurricane Katrina is the key theme for the 5th Annual Southern Bio-Products Conference to be held April 3-4, 2006 at the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, Mississippi. Abstracts are due January 23, 2006. Presentations are being solicited for tracks including Bioenergy and Biofuels (General BioEnergy/Southern States Energy Board); Biomass Feedstocks (School of Chemical Engineering Mississippi State University); Bio-Chemicals (tentative — University of Southern Mississippi); Bio-Products (Forest Products, Mississippi State University). A student poster competition will be held and cash prizes will be awarded. This annual conference is hosted by the Mississippi Biomass Council (MBC) and sponsored by several organizations around the state.
