China Holdings to Build 50-MW Bio Plant

China Holdings, Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary China Power, Inc. has executed a development and construction agreement with the Huaxian Government in the Hunan Province of the People’s Republic of China.

Under the construction agreement Huaxian has granted China Power the exclusive right to develop and construct a 50-megawatt (MW) biomass power plant and the land rights for up to 133,400 square meters of land to develop the plant.

This agreement brings the company’s total potential power capacity up to 320 MW. According to China Holdings, it is establishing longstanding strategic relationships with other power operators, financial sponsors, suppliers, subcontractors and government that will ensure its successful development of alternative power generating facilities across China.
