Canadian Company Purchased Green Power

Ontario Power Generation has announced that FAG Bearings Limited is the latest customer opting to demonstrate their environmental leadership, by purchasing OPG Evergreen Energy. FAG Bearings is joining the growing ranks of Ontario companies that are demonstrating a tangible environmental commitment by purchasing power that is EcoLogo certified Green.

Green Power is electricity that is generated using clean, renewable resources, such as wind, solar, biomass, and small hydro. OPG Evergreen Energy is drawn from a Renewable Energy pool that is expected to grow in line with market demand. OPG Evergreen Energy is generated exclusively at facilities that are EcoLogo certified or the equivalent, and that exceed the rigorous requirements as outlined by federal legislation.
