Brazil’s Light Lowers Use Projections

June 17, 2002 [] The Brazilian electric power company Light has halted expansion plans for its hydroelectric facility Simplicio in Rio de Janeiro because of lower power consumption. Recent projections for 2002 have showed a lowering of demand by as much as seven percent.
