Biomass Marketer Enters China Energy Market

[] Biomass supplier Green Energy Resources has opened an office in China for the China, Hong Kong and Singapore biomass market. Mr. Andrew Tong of Hong Kong will work at the business contact for the region. Green Energy Resources markets environmentally certified wood fiber fuels, and hopes to secure business as the regions’ coal-fired energy plants switch to co-firing with biomass. China burned 1.9 billion tons of coal last year, and Tong will work with Chinese companies and the government in offering biomasse for cofiring, direct burn, cogeneration, trigeneration, biodiesel, and ethanol applications (Trigeneration is the simultaneous production of cooling, heating and power, in one process). China represents a potential export market over 20 million tons annually in excess of $1 billion dollars.
