Biomass Grants Awarded to University

July 7, 2003 [] The Focus on Renewable Energy program has awarded Marquette University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in Milwaukee a grant to study and demonstrate the viability of increasing Wisconsin’s renewable energy production by using food processing wastes to economically produce biogas at a municipal wastewater plant. The result of this study will indicate whether municipal wastewater treatment plants can become regional energy production facilities.
