Biofuel Facility on West Coast Grows from 5 mgy to 20 mgy

[] American Biofuels (ABF), which is 35 percent owned by Green Star Products, entered into a long-term agreement with Energy Merchant Marketing (EMM), will increase the present capacity of the ABF Biodiesel production facility in Bakersfield, California, from 5 million gallons per year to 20 million gallons per year. EMM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Merchant Corp., will market the entire biodiesel production of the facility. It is also a national supplier of long-term petroleum contracts and among the largest independent marketers of petroleum products since 1978. EMM will acquire 100 percent of ABF biodiesel production from the facility, the release states, and market the product into the downstream petroleum sector to customers.
