Biofuel Deal Gets Restaurants to Give-up Their Waste Oil

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] American Biofuels (ABF) of California has contracted with Safe Environmental Alternatives (SEA) for delivery of waste cooking oil that ABF uses to producing biodiesel at its plant in Bakersfield. According to the company, SEA has signed up over 80 restaurants and other baking facilities for waste oil pickup in the past four months. SEA is rapidly expanding its collection program and will soon be collecting waste oils from Fresno, which is twice the size of Bakersfield. ABF has been producing biodiesel at its Bakersfield plant since 2003 using mainly soybean oil, and has increased the plant capacity to handle larger quantities of waste cooking oils.
