Biodiesel Plant Construction to Begin This Summer

Beatrice, Nebraska [Daily Sun] A biodiesel plant to be built in the Gage County Industrial Park will be one of the largest in the United States when it begins operations in early 2007, according to David Blythe, managing director for the project. … The plant will produce 50 million gallons of biodiesel a year as well as glycerine, a byproduct that is used in the pharmaceutical and food processing industries. Construction will begin late this summer with a goal of starting production by the first quarter of 2007. The project is the second biodiesel plant announced in Nebraska.
