Biodiesel Facility Slated for California

Southern States Power Co. Inc. , has participated in the formation of the Agua Mansa, Bioenergy L.L.C., a Delaware company, to coordinate the development of a state-of-the-art biodiesel production facility.

Riverside, California – August 29, 2002 [] The project will combine the groundwork and preliminary development that SSPC has undertaken since the Riverside facility was first announced in March 2002 with the project management experience and capital of other groups that will comprise the Agua Mansa, L.L.C. The Agua Mansa biodiesel facility will produce SSPC’s EPA-registered OxEG Biodiesel. As co-developers of the project, SSPC will contribute the land it has secured on which the plant will be built, in addition to its USDA subsidy for fuel produced from soybeans. “Agua Mansa is designed to produce biodiesel that will not only meet ASTM standards but also the more stringent DIN 51606 specifications, allowing the fuel produced here to be introduced in virtually any market in the world,” said Harrison A. McCoy, III, SSPC’s chief executive officer and president. “Additional sales can be generated from high grade by-products produced at the facility, further enhancing its revenue-generating potential.” (OTCBB:SSPC)
