American Hydropower Supporters Urged to Take Action for Industry

The National Hydropower Association is calling on supporters of the hydroelectric industry to contact their members of congress regarding the Hydropower Regulatory Efficiency Act of 2012.

The legislation — officially known as House Resolution 5892 — seeks to increase hydropower development and recognizes the importance of hydro in the nation’s electric portfolio.

Shows of support for the bill are important as the full Energy and Commerce Committee met yesterday to mark up and report out H.R. 5892, which is a crucial step in securing passage through the U.S. House.

NHA supports the bill and urges other hydro advocates to show their support as well by asking their congressmen to co-sponsor the bill.

letter template is available through NHA’s website.
