ADM to Market Ethanol from New Siouxland Ethanol Plant

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and Siouxland Ethanol LLC announce an ethanol marketing agreement in which ADM will market all ethanol produced by Siouxland Ethanol at its forthcoming 50 million gallon Jackson, Nebraska, facility.

“We recognized early on that the transportation of ethanol would be a key component in making Siouxland Ethanol a successful company,” said Tom Lynch, President of Siouxland Ethanol. “ADM is proud to partner with Siouxland Ethanol to bring their ethanol to market,” said Martin Lyons, ADM division Senior Vice President-Ethanol Sales & Marketing. “By creating fuel from American crops, ethanol producers help increase demand for the harvest, improve our environment and reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil.” Construction on the Siouxland Ethanol plant has begun and the plant is expected to be operational in early 2007. In addition to producing ethanol, it will produce an estimated 165,000 tons of distiller grains on an annual basis, at a location one and a half miles west of Jackson, Nebraska. The plant, owned by local investors, will produce 50 million gallons of ethanol, consume 18 million bushels of corn annually and create 32 jobs.
